About

Having its genesis in 1910, the Banki Central Cooperative Bank is popular as the oldest cooperative bank in Odisha. It's founding father Shri Raibahadur Vidyadhar Panda was pioneer of cooperative movement in Odisha. With his visionary acumen and constant efforts, he formed the Charchika society, the Subarnapur society and the Baraput society in 1903. Later 98 different societies joined hands to form Banki Central Cooperative Bank in 1910. Owing to the onerous efforts of Dr. Yogesh Rout, the then Cooperative minister of Odisha and the president of BCCB, a strong foundational edifice for the bank was laid. Today BCCB is not only the oldest CCB in Odisha but also a front runner in rendering banking services to the farmers even in the remotest part of the region where availing banking services was a far cry. It effortlessly serves in Banki, Banki-Domapada, Tigiria, Badamba and Narsinghpur through its branches, positively impacting the lives of thousands of farmer families in the region. For the economic advancement of poor families by the means of cooperative credits, BCCB covers more than 1,05,238 families under PACS and has 1,19,604 as its members under different societies. It provides facilities like Kisan Credit Cards, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, Micro-ATMs and ATM facility with Rupay debit card to the farmers to meet their operating capital needs. With the help of state government, the BCCB provides interest free loans upto 1 lakh, SHG loans with interest subvention and assists in implementation of Government schemes like MKUY, MPY, Mo GHARA, BALIA, BALARAM and many more. The Baki Central Cooperative Bank proudly announces that more than 95% of all the loans extended to farmers in the region come from it. It operates under the overall purview of RBI and all the deposits of the customers are insured by DICGC.

1910 was indeed a watershed moment and an important milestone in the history of Cooperative Movement in Odisha. Since 1910, we continue to server customers and we constantly evolve and upgrade ourselves to cater to the changing needs of the time. We value our constant commitment towards extending top class banking services to the poorest of farmer families because we believe that the test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.
