Having its genesis in 1910, the Banki Central Cooperative Bank is popular as the oldest cooperative bank in Odisha. It's founding father Shri Raibahadur Vidyadhar Panda was pioneer of cooperative movement in Odisha. With his visionary acumen and constant efforts, he formed the Charchika society, the Subarnapur society and the Baraput society in 1903. Later 98 different societies joined hands to form Banki Central Cooperative Bank in 1910. Owing to the onerous efforts of Dr. Yogesh Rout, the then Cooperative minister of Odisha and the president of BCCB, a strong foundational edifice for the bank was laid.
